So I'll just say that I tore through it and really enjoyed it. I wish I had a question about Parasite, but nothing's coming to mind.

Are there any functional differences between zombies that come from reanimation of the dead vs. In Deadline Kelly says they think reservoir conditions are caused by exposure in infancy/under the threshold weight, so what accounts for adults like Emily having them? Is it just early cases that could surface in adults, from when KA was still evolving/when people were getting their first exposure to live virus as adults, or is it just that people like Emily and Lisa were some of the few "exceptions" that Kelly mentions, and most cases occurred in small children all along? I have three questions, all about KA (and hopefully all of them are quick answers, 'cause I don't want to take too much of your time). I will be back at 7PM Central to answer questions. I like cornfields, haunted houses, chainsaws, and going to Disney Parks. Guess what that's about! All three of the books in my Newsflesh trilogy (FEED, DEADLINE, and BLACKOUT) were nominated for Hugo awards, which was really nice, and being two people makes it easier to get away with writing this many books. I currently put out four books a year between my two identities, because that's not a lot or anything, as well as a lot of short fiction. I actually know what that means, but it took me a while to figure it out. I do still have a day job, and work for an international non-profit dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing technological solutions. I live in a creepy, crumbling old farmhouse deep in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a town that was mostly rural up until ten years ago, and has now gone very suburban, which explains why I want to move to the woods as soon as humanly possible. I have a Classic Siamese and two Maine Coons, the smaller of which weighs twenty-three pounds.

I also watch too many horror movies, read a lot of comics, and spend a lot of time wrangling my three enormous blue cats. I'm Mira Grant I write urban fantasy and medical science fiction and weird stories about cheerleaders fighting monsters because why not.
